Friends of Poland around the World

Wherever you are, no matter what your connection to Poland is, you are cordially invited to join.

You can initiate your registration by sending a blank message to FRIENDSofPOLAND-subscribe@YahooGroups.com from your email address.

...disseminate, exchange and discuss any ideas, propositions and comments concerning Poland.

As such, this list supplements other lists, which might be oriented toward a single issue, group or geographic area.

This list is for all friends of Poland around the world, including Poles, persons of Polish background as well as all other people who are interested in Poland-related issues and projects.

Whichever method of subscribing you choose, you'll have to identify yourself to the list owner, stating your full name, address and telephone number, in order for your subscription to be approved.

Your first and last name, your email address and the city, state/province and country of your residence will be made known to your fellow subscribers.

Your street address and phone number will be held confidential by the list owner, unless you say that you want that information published in the Subscribers Directory.

Everything you send to the list appears in the club's Web-based archives in the "Messages" section of the Yahoo! Groups page for Friends of Poland around the World.

New messages are posted usually within seconds after you send them.  Sometimes, however, the archives are slow or they don't open up at all because the Web site is overloaded.  It's free so you can't expect too much of it.

In any case, please keep in mind that anyone with access to the Internet can read everything you submit to the list.

Once you've subscribed to the list and provided the required details and after the list owner has approved your subscription, you can send letters to the group.

In order to transmit a note to all subscribers, please address your email to
FRIENDSofPOLAND@YahooGroups.com.

When you receive a letter via the list, you can write back using the Reply button.

You can also use the "Post" feature on the Yahoo! Groups page for Friends of Poland around the World, but before you post your message via the Web, you need to "sign in" on Yahoo!, using your username and password.   For information on how to sign in, go to Yahoo! Groups help pages.

Rules of conduct, e.g., a subscriber's obligation to be polite and respectful toward other subscribers, are stated on the Yahoo! Groups page for Friends of Poland around the World.
