Polish Language Lessons at the Library of Congress

Location:

Library of Congress -- European Division -- Conference Room
Jefferson Building -- Second Floor
At the far end of the Treasures of the Library of Congress
Near the Capitol South metro station on the orange and blue lines

Format:

The classes are based on a 30-part set of excellent Polish language learning audio-visual materials. The tapes are viewed on TV hooked up to a VCR. Ronald D. Bachman, who has had some experience with foreign language teaching, is available to assist students with grammar, comprehension, etc. The classes (i.e. tapes) follow the progress of the Grzegorzewski family as they adapt to life in a new apartment in Warsaw.
